The Adventure

The game was originally designed as an activity for camp members to play. After modifications, it has evolved into a competitive game resembling a tabletop game with dice and hand-made cards. The game is inspired by Hearthstone, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic: The Gathering.

Project Type

Team Project

Platform

TableTop

Players

2 - 6 players

Teams

Divide the even-numbered players into two teams. Roll dice to determine the order of each player. Odd-numbered positions form one team, and even-numbered positions form the other team. Then, draw race cards in order, confirming with each other before starting the game.

Victory condition

If all players in one faction have their health reduced to zero, the opposing faction declares victory.

Turn

A turn consists of actions taken by each player. The order of rolling the dice determines the order of actions. If one team's health reaches zero and they are eliminated, their turn is skipped while maintaining the action order. When players take action, they can choose to activate their race's passive ability, roll the dice, or use a skill card.

Race

There are a total of five races, each with different amounts of health and passive abilities. Passive abilities can only be used once per turn. Here's a more detailed description:

Dice

Each team takes turns rolling the dice to perform actions sequentially.

Attack - Choose an enemy team to attack.

Heal - Restore one unit of your own health.

Deathmatch - Choose an enemy player to engage in a *Tempo game. The losing team loses one unit of health.

Silence - The affected team cannot use their racial passive ability during their next turn.

Skill Card - Draw a skill card and decide whether to immediately use it or add it to your hand.

*Tempo game
1. Participants sit in a circle or a line.
2. The game starts with one person saying a phrase (category), such as fruit, vegetable, zoo, country. etc
3. The next person must respond with a word associated with the category, for example, lion (zoo).
4. The game continues with each person responding with a word associated with the category.
5. Participants who hesitate, repeat a word, or can't think of a related word are typically eliminated.

Skill cards

If a player chooses to use a skill card they already possess, they cannot roll the dice during that action.
